As of now those are all my plans for this weekend. If I have time I want to work out a little and start finish my painting project. Its crazy how much there is to do and how little bit of time I have to complete it all in!

In a side note I took a test on Tuesday and today we got the results back. My professor is so cool! If you score a 80 or higher on her test then she will call you down to the front and give you a piece of chocolate and your test results. Guess what I enjoyed during the class? That is right a nice chocolate candy! It was amazing! :)

Junior Year...oh how I wish you would end!

It is officially my Junior year in college. Which is so cool! I am finally closer to the end of this adventure than the beginning. As long as everything keeps going well and I pass all my classes. I will be graduating in May 2013. I will be graduating on time and going out into the "real world". When people hear me being excited about being out in the real world, they giggle then reflect on their life and always say "your going to miss being in college". I don't think I will miss it! You want to hear about my current schedule for this spring semester? Well even if you don't I am going to tell you because I am the one writing this :)

On Monday and Wednesday mornings I wake up between 6:30 and 7:00. Depending on how I feel I will work out until it is time for work. I spend 8:00am - 9:45am and 11:00am - 12:45pm slaving the day away at my job at the school (kidding I don't do much at my job. I am here at the office right now writing up this post). from 9:45 am - 11:00 am and 12:45 pm - 5:00 pm (which it hasn't been that late yet) playing with my nephew. We do all kinds of crazy things, good thing he can't talk! hehe He is a crazy one, he normally spends the first 1 hr sleeping, then eating, and then sleeps again. I spend this time watching him, then feeding him, then watching a netflix show, then maybe another, and then run to my room and pull out a school book to pretend like I have been working on school all afternoon. (sometime I will actually get some of my homework done for the week) After Nik gets home we sit there and talk about how her class went. Then I go to my room and actually work on my homework, then enjoy a delicious dinner. Sometime help with cooking or cleaning. Then I take a shower finish up any last min homework problems. My bed time is at 9 pm. I know I am crazy for staying up that late! But you know what I like being crazy and such every now and again!

Tuesday and Thursdays - I wake up at 7 am and get all ready for the gym. Spend a good amount of time there, I walk to my car and eat breakfast. At 9:25am, I enjoy a nice class on Tax, at 10:50 I sit down and enjoy a class on finance. I get a 55 min break for lunch, where you will find me back in my car enjoying a sandwich, or eating out with the grandparents :) After that at 1pm I head off and enjoy a nice hour and 15 min lecture on intermediate accounting 2. Once all my classes are over I spend from 2:30-5:00 back at the office (where I am right now). Next I will go home, do some homework, eat dinner, shower and again in bed at 9pm.

Fridays - oh how you are so close to the busy weekends I have :) Friday starts off just like Monday and Wednesday, but I only get to spend 2 hours with my nephew instead of all afternoon. So at 2:00 I am back at work till 5. I signed up for a new class today. I am not going to tell you what it is just now but if I enjoy it I will be busy from 2 - 4 on Fridays from now till first Friday in march. More to come on that later. After that the day goes on like all others. Home, homework, eating, shower and then to bed.

Starting Feb 4th, I am going to be starting a new job. This job is in a city that is 30 miles away from here. But it is a weekend job and it pays really well. So most of my weekends will be taken up by the job but in the end it will all be worth it :)

Well that is all for now. I might post sometime soon but in all reality I most likely won't post for a few months. Just check back every now and again.

I decided to cut my hair. And I love it! Hopefully I will be able to post some pictures some time soon!In other news - I switched my room all around. It look so much bigger. Classes are now half way over. On Monday the schedule for the Spring semester comes out. I have been packing a lunch most days for class and work. Its working out really well and I am saving money! Which is always nice! I am in the process of making a recipe book. It looks really good! Didn't get out of my PJS today till after 2 pm. I know crazy but I was busy with homework and changing my room all up!

Its time to decide...

I am in desperate need of a hair cut! I mean like split ends everywhere! And I need help deciding what to do... My hair is getting longer and I am loving it! But its hard to find new ways to style it! So I was looking at pictures on my laptop and ran across a few from when I had shorter hair and i miss it!

Here are my two options...

1) Keep the length but go a little shorter and follow this?

2) Or get a the dead ends cut off and keep growing it out, like this?

Oh what a week!

I got almost everything finished this week that was on my to do list and one thing that was not. More on that in a few weeks :)

Monday - Worked from 9 to 4. Study for test all night!

Tuesday - Class from 8-4. I had a test in my first class that day. I also started working out at the gym that day. I walked/jogged/ran a mile (which isn't a lot I know. But my leg went numb and so I decided to stop). Then a night home to work on homework and studying for a test I had Thursday.

Wednesday - Worked from 9 to 4. Then write my formula sheet for Stats and read over review questions for Marketing.

Thursday (today) - Wake up. Fix hair and get dressed. Pack bags (I have been taking 2 bags to classes - switch out between lunch so much better on my back). Drive to class. Get test results back from Tuesdays test. Did really well. Go to stats and take test. Realize that I forgot one thing on my formula page. Freak out. Think really hard and just try (looked it up once back home and I got it right). Work out. 2 miles bike and .5 miles walking/jogging/running (then leg starts hurting again so I stop). Go to DQ they were playing some A & M game. Head over to marketing class go over review. Then up to computer class get a long lecture on using databases. Then home. I worked on my cook book for a while. Then I ate dinner. I was working on Econ homework and have been for the past few days. But the book I have and the outline he gave are different so I don't know if I will be able to finish all the homework without the other book. I even asked him before buying this book if it was okay to use! Ugh!

So that was my week. Tomorrow is working for 9 to 4. And most likely coming back and working on more homework.

Oh how I wish college didn't have so many homework assignments and test! But oh well as Gram says "For the money you are paying to go I hope they give you more homework then you have now!"

Being a big girl isn't fun! Just saying!

Today is Thursday.... Which means its almost the weekend time!

I have had a long week...

Last weekend was a busy one....

It all started Friday (someone sound dream sequence music)

"Oh what a wonderful day" That is what I was thinking when I was a woken by birds chirping and music playing. (or at least it was something like that)

I was dressed and out the door by 8 am. Which you have to do if you want to find a good parking spot (Which I did! 4th row! It sounds like a long ways because it is but its better then over by the rec center [which is were I was at some point]).

The day went by pretty fast. Did nothing at work. At lunch time I was sitting outside in my normal spot under the treas. It was a lovely day!

That night I went home and cooked dinner. Taco Ring, Black Beans, and Spanish Rice. With brownies and ice cream for dessert.

The boyfriend came over and we watch a movie (The Last Three Days - It was an okay movie but I have definitely seen better).

Saturday morning I was up at 9 am and was working on my home work. Got about 1/3 of it finished. Then we went to the park to walk the trails. That is where I received a text from G-dad telling me that they were leaving for the restaurant. So that is where we went.

Had a wonderful lunch (again thanks Ma - it was yummy!). Then it was back home to finish some homework. But I only got 1/3 of the 2/3 done.

We left for G-bery. Went down town to do some shopping while there it started to rain. So it was decided that going to the drive in might not be smart. Because I didn't know how much more it was suppose to rain and the site didn't have anything about what they do when it rains, and the number I tried calling them at only told me what movies were playing). We had a lovely (by that i mean tasteless - they need to add some flavoring to their food if you ask us) dinner at the "groggy dawg". It was really cool cause we were outside so the wind blowing felt really good!
After dinner we did some more shopping then we went to the normal movie. Straw dogs was out choice (sticking with the dog theme of the night :)

When buying the tickets they asked to see only one of our IDs. Well I wasn't paying so I left my wallet in the car. So Junior showed his ID. Then the lady turned to me and asked me to go get my ID to show her mine also. Which was stupid! I have only been ID like 5 times for R rated movies. And that is only when I am buying the tickets or renting the movies! But what ever I walked out there to get it and was not happy walking back and I think she knew it. I didn't understand why mine was needed. I mean Junior is 20 that is 3 years over the 17 R rated movie limit. I mean if he just turned 17 I can understand. But whatever!

Now its Sunday and I had to finish my homework. So I spend the morning finishing 1/3 of the original 1/3 (so that leaves me with 1/3 or the 2/3 that I didn't finish Sat). At 10 something we left for the big cities.

Started off by heading to the Apple store to get my iPod an upgrade. But apparently you need an appointment to do this! Stupid! I could just turn it in the the Apple guy and get 10% off a new one. But I told him no that I wanted the $60.00 one! That was more in my budget. He said I would have to make an appointment and they only had one at 1:50 that day! I just walked out on him and wasn't happy!

Then it was to lunch at Smash Burgers. Has anyone been there? Here are my thoughts on it..... It is a lot of money! I mean 2 burgers, 1 order of fries, 1 order of fried pickles, and 2 drinks it was almost 25 dollars! And it wasn't that good! I mean we could have gone to Whataburger and gotten the same thing for about half the price. And there were too many people there! But I ate it and said thank you :)

Next it was time to head to JoAnns, the mall, and Target! Some of my favorite places! I love shopping! Junior would take me shopping almost every weekend when I lived there. Now it is every other weekend (which I know isn't that bad - but for me it is really hard!). We got a few things and I tried on homecoming dresses! Yes I know lame! I mean I am 20 and trying on homecoming dresses? But you know at least I am not buying one :)

It was time for the softball game. Our team lost but that is okay because I finished my homework!

After the game we headed to Genghis Grill! I am in love with this place! I signed up for the texted coupons the first time we went and I received my first coupon yesterday and it is kinda hard not skipping work tomorrow and heading up there :)

Then it was the hardest day of the week Monday (start doom noises please)....Woke up at 7 sooo tired and wanting to just go back to bed! But the day needed to get started. Packed my lunch, was dressed, and started packing my bag for the day. I couldn't find my wallet anywhere! Like it was no where in my room! I called Junior and he looked and I had forgotten to get it out of his bag. So I had to go a whole day without spending money. Which isn't hard when I at least had money to not buy things with. But it seems like when there is no way to spend money is when you think you need something the most!

After getting to work the day went on and on and on. One lady walked by my desk and told me I needed to wake up. I laughed and said I am trying too! Then my boss came over and hit me on the head with a stack of papers just for fun! It wasn't fun for me! But finally it was lunch time! And so I cooked up my lunch and headed out to my normal spot! Just finished making my homework all pretty and such and was going to sign my name but I received a text so I put down the pencil and read my text. Then it happened! I don't even know if I should share this! But I will! Oh MY! I was one very unhappy little college student! A bird had pooped on my homework!!!!!! Right were I was about to sign my name!!!!!!! I was sooooooooooo not happy!

Then day was just sad after that......

Last Thursday I went over to DQ to get myself a drink and went to find a place to work on some homework. And guess what was on TV? Criminal Minds! I love that show!!!! And you know what the same channel was on Tuesday too! (but not today some sports channel was)

So the point of that last part is to say. If anyone wants to send me gift cards to DQ so I can relax and watch Criminal Minds between classes I would love that!

A picture of the clouds...

Driving home Sunday night I looked out the window to see this beautiful view of the sky. I love how the sky is so many different colors, the clouds were covering just a little of the sun, the sun was setting, and the rays of sun are shining through the top! Out of the other window was a lovely view of a rain cloud. As it got darker the clouds actually looked scary there for a bit!

I decided to also add a few other pictures in this post. On Monday I wore this to work.

So I was asked why I didn't write a post on Tuesday. My normal schedule (at least for this semester) is to post on Tuesday and Thursday of each week. And any other day I have something to say :)

But back to why I didn't post on Tuesday. I came up to the computer lab room. Started working on my Economics homework. While working on the homework I had major computer/Internet problems. It wouldn't let me on the homework site, then once finally on there it wouldn't let me open up the files in which I needed. So I got mad with the computer and left. I didn't want to deal with it anymore.

Went outside and ate lunch (peanut butter and chocolate chip sandwich - totally not healthy but oh well). My professor was giving out extra credit points for those who attended one of the college success meetings. So I say such I love extra points!

I went and I thought it was a total waste of time but I get extra points for going and that is all that matters!

This week I have worked, schooled and homeworked. Its a fun life I am living right now :)

Oh how I can't wait for ten years from now where I will be at home working and having a kid (or 4) coming up to me yelling "mommy, I'm hungry" and me say okay but then not giving them food till lunch time! :) haha I just want to sleep (and yes I know that once you have kids you don't sleep any. But this is my dream not reality)

I am going to be working on the next picture post tonight. Its only suppose to be one picture but I have a lot I want to post under this one!

Also I have an idea of something I want for Christmas if anyone is interested. I will be posting it later this week or next.

Other happenings, I have decided to be realistic in the fact that there is only so much that you can bring to school for lunch when you don't have a fridge or microwave. So I have allowed myself to use 5 dollars once a week to pick up a lunch from one restaurant (DQ) which is close to campus. So far it has worked really good! I am saving money by not eating out everyday. But also being semi healthy by not skipping lunch everyday and waiting till 4 to eat.

I am sad that no one has said anything about my new background! I really like it!

The meeting of the accounting society is coming up next week. They are selling pizza slices for a dollar a piece. I am trying to decide if that is going to be my one eating time of the week or not... What do yall think (I need advice about this before next Thursday)

There are also two extra credit point opportunities that I could go too. One is tonight at 7. I really don't want to go because it will be boring and such. Then there is one tomorrow that is giving away free pizza. I like free and pizza :)

I'm gonna go eat me some lunch now.

Tuesday.... Oh What A Tuesday....

Last Tuesday (Aug 29th. The first day of my classes) -

The day started out early, 7 AM (I don't like having to get up early for class and work. I now can't sleep in on weekends! UGH! Growing up isn't fun!).

A quick bowl of cereal to start out the day (Quaker oats with almond milk! Good stuff I tell you!)

Dressed and ready and out the door in less then 45 minutes.

Once I arrived at the school I thought to myself (and sister) how I shouldn't have signed up for a class with started at 8 O'clock in the morning! That was silly on my part! (Only 14 more weeks to go)

My first class every Tuesday and Thursday is from 8:00 to 9:15. Intermediate Accounting. Its a fun class. The professor is an older lady who is crazy! And knows it!

From 9:25 to 10:40 you will find me in room 181 taking Business Stats with 30 other students.

The professor walked in on the first day and told us he didn't like talking so we would need to talk a lot in the class. In the past that means sitting during the syllabus reading then heading home and dropping the class. But I decided to hang in there and pass the class.

I then have a break till 1:00. Which I go back to my car and switch books out. Grab my lunch and then head upstairs to the lab. I update my blog and work on my Econ class (my online class at a different school).

At 1:00 I head down to marketing. I really am enjoying this class a lot. We watch a movie or video clip every day. I also went by the professors office this week with my finish homework paper to have her look over it and she gave me full credit and said I didn't need to turn it in during class! I stay focused on Marketing till 2:15.

From 2:15 to 3:40 I am back upstairs in the lab but this time it is for a class. So no fun time updating my blog on shopping. This is an Excel class. So far it has been really fun. The guy I sit by and me both missed the same thing on our first assignment and I received an A and well he didn't confusing! The professor is the same on from my 8 am class. She is also my department advisor so I better do well and be nice to her :)

After classes Last Tuesday Nik and I decided to be social and eat with people on campus!

It started out with the rec fest! Free shirts and food is all I had to read and I was ready to go. It didn't go so well. You had to work to get your shirt. They had activities all around the rec center and you had to visit at least ten of them before getting the shirt. And the food was hot dogs! Most people know that I hate hot dogs! UGH! So off to event 2 we went. Advertised for transfer students who want to get involved. Free shirts and food here too! It was very interesting. The people were annoying but Nik and I are not members and that is all that matters :) To get your shirt you had to go up in front of everyone and tell your name, past school, and favorite tradition of this school. When it was my turn I got up there. Said "I'm Shelbi, I transferred from CVC and I don't have a favorite tradition". (By the way the President of the school is at this event) I got a lot of what's? and huh? from the crowd! I turn to the MC guy shrugged my shoulders and said "Yesterday was my first day here". Then walked away to get my shirt (Which I am wearing with pride right now:) Then food was the best part of this event. We had un-cold water bottles and Popsicles! REALLY??? THAT'S NOT FOOD!

We went home and I made us some real food for dinner (spaghetti).

Well the first part is how I spend every Tuesday and Thursday. And will be spending it for the next 14 weeks!

Then Monday, Wednesday, and Friday are spent the same. Work, work, work.

So I will try to come up with some interesting this to post about, speak my mind, and all that good stuff! But please could yall stop commenting I mean I am overloaded with reading them ALL! ;)

I sometimes wonder who all reads my blog any more.

Well anyways I need to start the Econ homework now.

I am going to be doing a thirty day picture challenge starting up soon (But I am going to make it a 60 day challenge so I have extra days to find the pictures or take them)

So I am going to post about Tuesday but not now.... I am going to jump a few days.... Starting Wednesday!

Wednesday - The Day My World Turn Upside Down!

After a long day at work I came back to my house to a very sad reality. My laptop was not acting right. I had no clue what was wrong! I was good to it for over a year! I thought we were close and could talk about any! But this was so sudden! I had no clue what to do! I went through a moment of denial!

Thursday and Friday - The Long Days.

I was really distant from the laptop for these two days! I figured if I just didn't deal with the situation it would just go away! But that didn't help! If anything it made it worst!

Friday Night - Deal With It Head On!

I got my laptop, owner's manual, and tools all together and figured I could only make the situation worst and then be able to justify buy a new laptop (better one even?) or I could actually fix it! I really didn't want it to come down to this (I already had offers to borrow two laptops and I thought hmmm I could hold out till the end of the semester to deal with my laptop) . But then I decided I had to fix it! I had an online class which I had things already written up or downloaded to my laptop!

I had my laptop in pieces. But in the end all I needed was canned air to clean out the fan! (Which cost less then 5 dollars!) That worked and I left it here all weekend to relax. Once home I noticed the laptop was running really slow! So in pieces it went again, I had not put both memory cards back in all the way! Which means really really really slow laptop! Got it back in place did a happy dance then turn it on.....and nothing! Then the screen started up and faded in and out of color! And I cried! (not really but a little!) Then back to pieces it went. The screen was not totally plugged in. Put everything back together then happy dance! Turned it on and the screen was working, but then the keyboard wasn't working.... In pieces Mr. Laptop went again.

Finally after all the dances, cries, and extra pieces later, my laptop is up and running! I think it is even better then it was working when I first got it!

Hopefully tomorrow after classes I will have time to update you on how my classes went/are going!

Have to go finish some homework for now!

The last few days in review....

So I have been one busy college kid the last few weeks. Since the middle of July I have been working 5 days a week. Does anyone want to take a guess at the last time I worked that many days in a week?
A) Never in My Whole Life
B) At my last job
C) Never because that is a crazy thing for a person to ever do!
D) Both A and C

The answer..... Is D! This is/was the first job that ever had me come in every day!
I say was because this week changed my work schedule.

Let me take you back to Saturday (Pre-school days I like to call them).....
Me - Dressed in shorts, green shirt, black cover up, flip flops, and hair was curly.
Junior - shorts, Aero shirt, pumas, and hair was hidden by baseball hat.
Car - kinda cleaned out and filled with gas
Plans - were going to make them up as we go and at 9:15pm I had made us a reservation at the Granbury Ghost Tour.
Accomplished - Went to 2 malls, the water gardens of Ft. Worth (very cool place - mom somewhere I think you should take the kids too when is gets cooler), three awesome meals/snacks, visting two targets, a quick trip by grams house to get a quilt that I want to finish (post about that later), then the ghost tour!

I used my Aeries Gift Card from Kevin, I didn't by Pajamas with it but thats okay I decided to get a shirt I can wear out and about to school (a second day of school kind of shirt). Thanks! I love it!

Sunday - was a lazy day! Clothes PJS all day! (LOVE DAYS LIKE THAT)
Sorted my clothes. Which one I want to keep, donate, or just box up for the summer (not that I am boxing them up yet -its too hot out)

Monday - Woke up at 6:30 AM - Walked to Nik's room and told her I thought it was too early for us to be up. She agreed and said she had a few things to do before we could go to the gym so I could go sleep for a while longer.
After I was up and ready to start the day we decided to head up to the gym and work out for a while till her classes started and I had to go to work.
At 9AM I head to work, my boss decided to buy us lunch that day. I have mixed feelings about when he does this. Free lunch but I only get to take 30 minutes to eat. Hmm.... It seems like more money the college spends when they bring in lunch compared to letting us just go eat. Work ended at 4. Then I went home and didn't do much at all. At 9 I was ready for bed. Had to get up early the next day anyways because of classes!

Tuesday - First Day of Class!!! (This needs a post of itself but I have to go finish a little homework before class starts...

A quick update on how life is going....

Classes - two weeks till they are over! My history professor gave me 220 point on a assignment that was only suppose to be worth 200 point. This Friday I am going to hopefully get my fall schedule all planned out! Today I have a test in Algebra. Only 10 more things to finish and this semester will be officially over!

Work - work is going good. I am currently labeling, stuffing, postmarking, and taping, over 400 packages that we are going to be sending out to the churches. Its repetitive work so I don't really have to thin much about it, which is good so I can be thinking about all the information I need to know for the upcoming test.

Social Life - has been going well. I have not been out of the house much in the last two weeks (or will I be in the next two weeks). Too busy trying to get all my classes finished.

Thats really all that is going on in my life right now.

My room is almost done being organized and cleaned. Here is a few pictures of my favorite parts (which is basically everything!)

The above picture is my bed after my lovely brother helped me make my bed tonight. So Sweet!

My closet. It can hide everything! All my clothes that are on hangers are divided out in colors. This makes picking each days outfit out easy. I just decide what color I want to wear!

I have lived in here since 2001 and never really put anything up on the wall. This is making up for the lost time :) I have 3 more paintings like the one on the left to hang up.

This is my new favorite part of my room! It has a place for everything! So that is all. I wish I had more to say but that is all for tonight.

The good side of being sick with the flu...Day 4

*I get to watch netflix and hulu all day long and get updated on my favorite shows. Which aren't many now a days. I actually got updated on them all before 8 o'clock last night! So if anyone knows a good show that will keep my interest please share :)

*Getting caught up in homework is easier to do when you are locked in your room till you get all better.

*My room is super clean now and organized. I will try and take a few picture in the next few days (I could be locked in here a while, I started showing symptoms on Monday and it last for 4 to 10 days).

*My brother, sisters, and mom keep coming in my room asking if I need anything. I keep telling the brother and sisters they need to stay out because if they breath in my air they might get sick too.

*You get to spend a lot (and I am talking about A LOT!) of money on medicine that you have to take for 5 days and it doesn't even start working till it has been in your body for 24 hours. That is a long time! It has been in my body that long but it still doesn't feel like it has started working yet.

*And last you get, get well text and phone calls! (and a few gifts every now and again :)

*Came home and wanted to start on homework and get off the couch by 4 pm (I got home a little before 3pm)

*It is almost 6 and I am still on the couch. But one of the kids got me, my laptop so I could be productive but I haven't been yet.

*Hopefully I can get to bed early and have this fever and cough broken before work tomorrow. (Fever was 102.9 when we checked about 30 minutes ago).

*All my classes should be kinda easy this semester. But there is going to be a lot of work! (If you look to the left of the screen you will see my list of classes for this year)

*I am going to eat dinner now! Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup!! Yummy! Thanks MOM!

Wednesday ~
I went to classes. Then got picked up for a night out on the town. Which consisted of going to a movie. "My Soul To Take" (again thanks Lisa for getting me the times :) was the movie we decided to go see. It was really kind of freaky! I jumped a few times (its in 3D so it looked as if everything was going to hit you!)

Thursday ~
Worked from 9-5. Any time I say that I want to break out in song!! ("working 9 to 5 what a way to make a living") So that night I went and watched a softball game and had dinner at El Chico's.

Friday and Saturday I spent the day working on homework and cleaning my room up. Shopping, washing clothes, and sleeping.

Sunday~
The family was out late Saturday nigh so Sunday we had the morning to sleep in! Which was nice! I stayed at home most of the day. That night I went to Junior's Grandma's house and we watched a movie. Paranormal Activity. It was a pretty scary movie! Well not scary just weird!

Monday~
Went to school from 11-3-ish. I took 2 test and went to my classes. I had an hour between one of my classes and the next and I didn't have anything to do! I was bored out of my mind! Monday night at 7 I went to a softball game. After the game, we went and watched the end of the Rangers game.

Today~
This morning I went to work. It was fun. Tonight I cooked dinner. And now I am sitting in my room thinking of working on homework. (or washing clothes) (I have decided that I wear too many clothes! I feel like I need to do laundry every 5 minutes!)

I was asked today to take a Christmas Picture for someone and was wondering if anyone had ideas of where to take it? I have a few ideas. They are a young couple. Just married.

That was 5 loads of laundry. And to make it even worst all those clothes are mine! I think that is a sign that I have way too many clothes! :) But no one tell mom she might make me give some of them away!

Monday was the start of my busy week! The day started off by me going to class. I have 2 classes on Monday and they come way too early in the day! I mean who wants to be at class at 11 AM? Classes were over by 2 and I was tired and ready for bed. But first I needed to go by and find something to eat. What is the best place to eat? I hadn't decided but I did know I wanted to go to the mall because Aeropostale had jeans on sale for 20 dollars! Which is really really good! They normally cost around 50 dollars! After shopping for a while (and only buying what I actually came to the mall for) I left to make my way back home. Then I was so proud of myself for not spending any extra money that I decided to buy myself a large ice tea from chicken express (they are less then a dollar!).
A little while after getting back home, we all loaded up and ran to town to go shopping so we could eat this week. That took what seemed like forever and a day :) Not really it was only a few hours. That night I went to Junior's softball game and then we went to see a movie. But had to leave early because he had a fever and was freezing cold. Which was fine with me because I had to get up really early this morning. We went to see the town (has anyone seen that one and knows how it ends? If so can you let me know?)

That brings us to Tuesday (Today). Got up at 8 AM, to be at work by 9 AM. Work was good today! Wasn't too hard and I got paid! YIPPY! (I think its time for more shopping!) Now I am home and had a list of homework and cleaning I need to finish. My room is a mess. I am still trying to put away all the clothes I washed on Saturday and I already have another load of laundry I need to wash!

As most of my readers know it has been about 5 months since my last post. But I am trying to get into the swing of things again. Only 3 weeks until I am done with classes for this year. I am working on a list of things I have learned this semester.

Here is a run down of what I have done this week.

Monday ~ G-dad and Gram came over. I also colored my hair :) The color is a LOT darker than it was suppose to be!

Tuesday ~ I had class and then G-dad and Gram came back over again.

Wednesday ~ Is today! :) Today I went to a concert at school. It was fun.

This week has gone by fast yet slow! I have 2 essays due before Monday. And my English final is due next Saturday. I am a busy little girl! So that all for this post :)

I don't really have anything to update yall on. Classes are going good... only 4 weeks until they are over. Which means it is time to start planning for the spring. But that is a little hard to do since they don't have any classes out yet for me to choose from! silly school! one hour until class starts, I really want a dr. pepper! but I don't have money. so maybe I will just use my card. but I really don't want to do that! ugh! life is so hard when your in college! :)

I am a little bored today! Yes I know, I am not suppose to use that word. But its all good! :D
Has anyone looked up what the word means? Well I just did so no need to bother with that!
"Uninteresting and tiresome; dull.These adjectives refer to what is so uninteresting as to cause mental weariness" So that is the new word of the day. :)

Now on to more important things! I should be working on my computer homework, psychology
homework, music homework, history homework, or my English homework. But you know what? I don't want too, it doesn't sound like fun! So instead I have decided to watch NCIS!

There is not much to update y'all on! which is a good thing, I think :)
In early Jan. I am going to see AL and UK.
Only 5 weeks until classes are over!!!
One of my friends is teaching me how to swing dance. (it is really fun!)
Just took my history test and now I am waiting for the concert to start. But that is not for another hour.
There are not a lot of people up here on campus on Wednesday. It is kinda a lonely place!
And those who are here don't have matching clothes. It is kinda funny to watch!

I"M BACK!!!!!!

These last few weeks have been crazy, busy, and fun! I won't go back and update y'all on everything because I am to tired and I'm about to leave the house to go to a play with a friend. So this is just a quick update :)

School is going good! Still enjoying most of my classes. This week for English I have to write an essay on a problem. The problem I picked was the Gardasil Vaccine. And I was wondering what every ones opinion of the vaccine is?

Work. I don't really have a job so there is nothing new there :) But I just finished a week long babysitting job! No I didn't babysit the whole week. Just everyday from last Saturday till last night. It was fun times!

That's really all that going on with me. Besides that fact that I want a new phone! and my room needs cleaned.

Part one...

I thought that I had posted this yesterday, but instead of posting it I saved it :)
So just pretend that I posted it yesterday!

Last night Nik and I went to the Taylor Swift concert! It was so much fun! The plan was to take lots and lots and lots of pictures. But to my sadness both of my camera batters were dead!! :( I did not think about charging them because I charged my extra one just a week ago and hadn't used it yet! It was very sad!! So I did try to get lots and lots and lots of pictures it just didn't work like I planned!

But anywho... we started off the night with going to "Spaghetti Warehouse." We had not eaten here in years! The waiter was complaining about everything and the food wasn't very good!

Than it was time to find the AA center. We kinda knew were we thought it was suppose to be. But it wasn't there. Let me point out that I had directions printed off! The only thing was that they were from home to the concert, not from dinner to it :) Finally after a few missed turns we made it!! They had all the roads blocked off, so I didn't know which lane to get in! I picked the right lane and you know where the right lane was going to? Thats right parking! YIPPY!! But it was the priority parking! Which means it cost $20.00!! It was a little crazy!!! But worth the money when it was time to leave!

Next came getting into the building.....

Spent the day on campus. Hung out with friends, did some homework, and went to class. After a wonderful time at school, came home to study a little while longer before leaving to go babysit. Than it happened!!!!!! Geek Squad called to let me know that my laptop was fixed and ready for pickup! I bounced around the house sing and screaming!!! Went and picked it up and they replaced the touchpad. It is pretty awesome to have it back!!!! Here is the picture of the fixed laptop :)

there isn't much to say... I have a test next week (really its in 2 Mondays).... in history... that is the subject I do not like the most!!!! Had Subway for dinner... it was really good!

I do have something to talk about... my goal for this week... My goal for this week is to not spend any money!!!! :) I am talking about no money!!! No eating out... no buying myself a dr. pepper while waiting for class.... no nothing!!!! (besides putting gas in the car on tuesday) we will see how this works... last week I spent a lot on little things... it didn't feel like I did... so that is my goal for this week!

I will also try to get some cute pictures of me on campus this week... OH THIS FRIDAY NIGHT GUESS WHERE NIKKI AND I ARE GOING???????? THAT IS RIGHT!!!!! TAYLOR SWIFT CONCERT!!!!!! THERE WILL BE LOTS OF PICTURES FROM THIS!!!

Today is the day of the awesome blog post! :D

so this post has been in the making for a few weeks now. Most of you will roll your eyes at it... but that is all good with me :)

My goal when starting college was to make it the first 2 weeks without wearing the same outfit. I mean like not wearing the same pair of jeans, shirts, skirts... nothing the same... HERE COMES THE BIG NEWS!!!! I went a whole month of school without wearing the same thing twice!!!

Yes I know most of you are thinking... I don't even think about that kind of stuff... I never plan out what I am going to wear... and at first I didn't either but then after two weeks it became a game! Trying to plan out my clothes!

So that is my news... I know this wasn't as awesome as yall were thinking it was going to be... but anywho....

I finished and turned in my case study and essay today... Also I got my grade back for my psychology test and I made an A!!! which is good.. cause I was worried about that one... not because I wasn't prepaired for the test... it is the fact that I sit in the back row... and according to something I read on Nik's blog I that if you are on the back row you don't learn as much....

there is not much to update about.... Today I took the test and I feel like I did good! :) I should know my grade on Thursday. I am really sleepy today!!! I was up late studying last night and then today I was up early! (not really but it sure did feel like it!) OH!!! Today before the test I stopped by and had "Churches Chicken" I forgot how good the mashed potatoes from there was!!!! I wanted to go back and get more!!! But if I had I would have been late for the test. sad :(

There isn't much else going on around here... I am a little sad that Lisa hasn't been writing any comments!!!

I can't wait till Thursday's (or maybe Friday's) post!!! Most of you are going to roll your eyes but to me it is awesome!!! :)

I have my first big test on Tuesday!!!! Its hard having to study for it!!! I know most of the stuff covered on the test...but there is some things that I keep getting mixed up on! But I am not going to worry about it! :) so that is my plan for now....

I didn't do much other than study today! Tomorrow is going to be a little busy.... I have homework all morning and then babysitting all night.. than the big test Tuesday! (well there is really 2 test... Psychology and Music) and I also have a case study due (which has to be 4 pages long!)

Oh!! oh!!! oh!!!! I did get to go to the party last night!!! It was super much fun!!! We (not me... some of the others) pushed one of my really good friends (the one who planned the party) into the pool!!! It was a little funny!!! But what made it really funny is that he was wearing his normal clothes. Funny stuff!!! I will try and put up some pictures of the party tomorrow at some point!

Over the past few weeks I have come up with many different ways to avoid my homework. And I have decided to share some of my favorite ones! Also these are in no order... just as I think of them I will write the down :)

* Cleaning my room.. Yes I know, you are all thinking..what??? Shelbi hates cleaning! well it is true I do not like cleaning.. but when my room is messy I can't concentrate on my homework!
* FACEBOOK!!!! I can spend hours (and I do mean hours! just ask mom) on facebook! I talk to my friends, look up people, and comment on many thing!
* Drawing, coloring, or anything artistic... I have learned that I do all these things the best when I am suppose to be finishing my school :)
* texting... texting is so much more fun when yours suppose to be doing other things.
*watching "scooby doo" with billy! He has learned how to use my tv and dvd player so he will come in my room and turn it on and then ask so nicely if he can stay and watch it :)
* but today I think I found the best way to avoid homework! After finishing my essay I decided to go get my nails done! So I went to the nail place and they put on the fake nails and they look super good!

I haven't even had the replacement phone for a month and this is what has happened... The store here in town does not have a tech service. So I am going to wait and see if daddy can take me in this weekend to talk with someone about this problem I am having with my phone...

I just wrote up such a good post!!! and it saved and everything!!! but then when I switched to another tab and then came back... it was all gone!!!! It disappeared!!! UGH!!!!

My sad day didn't start here! After opening my music test and having everything ready. My laptop touchpad broke!!!! It was very sad!!! I had to take it into the geek squads and they took it and said I couldn't have it back for 2 weeks!!! :'( The touchpad hardware was not working right so they had to send it off!!! I don't know what to do! This is going to be the longest I have gone without my laptop! It is a very sad situation.

In other news... I took my music test and emailed my professors and so for school I am doing good! Tomorrow is classes and then studying. I need to find a picture to add to tomorrows post.

I have some really fun post ideas... but I want to wait and write them up when I have more energy! :)

So today.... I want to hastings and worked on my homework and got just about everything done.. but I still have to take the test tomorrow for music.

I have this party that I really, really, really want to go to on Saturday! and I think mommy should let me go! what do yall think? (help me talk her into it :)

umm..... I made this really good drink last night! it was super yummy! (it was a strawberry surf rider from jamba juice)

It is Saturday night.... Most college kids are out having fun.... but me...nope!!! I am at home having to work on my homework that is due tomorrow.... its not so much fun being all grown up and having to say home and work on homework.... lets see.... the homework that is due....

History ~ finishing up chapter 2, learn about blue laws, and then write on the discussion boards.

Music ~ I need to finish the review from lesson 1, read and review chapter 2, and take a quiz (due Monday)

Psychology ~ finish chapter 9 and type up notes. (needs to be done by Tuesday)

Fitness ~ finish at least 1 work out before Tuesday.

and in English and Computer I dont have any homework due anytime soon.

so that is what I will be working on the next few days :)

Today was a GREAT day!!!!!

I got to sleep in until 9 am!!! Which was awesome!!! Then I left for school.... Arrived at school at 11:30... went by the book store and then went out by the lake to read a book until class started... Attended class... lots of fun!!! my professor is awesome!!! :) After class one of my friends (who is also up there for classes) was still up there working on homework... so we hung out and talked for a while... than I worked on homework and then came back home and I am now working on a writing assignment for my music class...

So that is my awesome Tuesday story! :)
maybe tomorrow I will have something more fun to talk about!

I went to my fitness class today. It was fun! We listened to the professor talk for an hour.
But the basics are

1. I have to come up with a fitness plan by Wed.
2. I have to work out 3 days a week (can be wherever... at the weight room there, here at my house, or wherever I want)
3. Have to send in a paper every week telling my professor what days, times and workouts I did.
4. That's basically it! If I turn everything in for this class I will make an A!!!

so yeah that the info about my fitness class! :)

My other classes are going well also. In English we have to write in the discussion board tonight before 12 and only 10 out of the 30 have posted!! Which makes it hard for me... cause part of my grade is commenting on their work!

Intro to psychology is my favorite class!!! I love the professor!

Music Appreciation... well I still haven't received my book and homework is due in 2 days.

Computer... is really easy so far :) there isn't much home work... my lab for this week is to send an email to my professor! which I think is funny because I have emailed her lots of questions!

History! I just don't really enjoy history! and the textbook I have! Oh my!!! Its hard to read!! They didn't write it very well!

Today I worked on my homework.

Now I am about to leave to go hang out with a friend.

Tomorrow is the first day of my fitness class!

I am thinking about joining a club at the school. (Baptist Student Ministries)

My book still hasn't come in yet.

I just got offered a babysitting job that will be 2 days a week from now until the end of Oct. Which is awesome!!! I will use that money to eat lunch on school days. :)

Just a quick update to tell you about how my lunch went :) Came early so I would have time to return my book and then pick something up for lunch.

I was waiting in this really long line waiting for lunch. I am talking long!!! There was like 6 people in front of me that still hadn't ordered! And the guy that was working was going really SLOW!!!! There were 3 guys in front of me, they asked if I wanted to go ahead of them because they have a really long lunch time. So I said yes and thank you! And then the lady in front of them said I could go in front of her too! I was like SWEET!!!! Then came time to order, I told him what I wanted and he started to make it. But then the lady that was working the cash register didn't know how to use it when the person wanted to pay with cash! I was like WHAT?? you don't know what to do when someone wants to pay cash? and then when I went up to pay I understood why she didn't know.... they don't have a cash tray! Thats is all I have for now :)

My music professor sent an email out today letting me know that the book that the bookstore told me to buy was the wrong book! I had to order a new book that wont be here for a few days and I have some reading assignments due on Saturday! And this is a one time use book (has some special code you have to enter online to access some of the assignments) so I cant even sell it to someone new!

I wish I could think of something else to update y'all on but I can't so that is the end tonight.... goodnight!

It is about time to update on the happenings here in south Texas. (I am only updating because mom put my blog in my graduation announcement letter...so you can thank her for this :) The past few weeks (more like months) have been so much fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Which brings us to today... Today was a fun day..... this morning I sent out my announcements for graduation... When I was getting stamps the post man asked if I needed wedding stamps...it was pretty funny! After that we went and celebrated with tacos from taco cabana... then I came home grabbed something to drink and was out the door again... picked up Dani, Ike and Boss... and we went to the park to meet Pete... played at the park for a while then walked to Ike's and Boss's house.. played games and then it was happy hour!!! So we went and had pizza, (they just opened a little Ceasar's!!!) crazy bread, crazy sauce, and a drink.... then we headed back to their house... stayed there for about 3 hours... then Dani and I went to babysit for a meeting... and now I am home... sleepy.... needing to clean my room.... wishing more people were on so she could talk to them :) I will try and keep y'all updated on the happenings here.... we will see how it goes... and maybe even next time I will have pictures :) so that is all I am going to bed... goodnight... love y'all!!!!! love Shelbi~loo

A few weeks ago the senior class of WCA came together with one thing on our mind....

Senior skip day 2009!

The next step was telling the senior class of 2007 about our plans and seeing if they would be able to attend the festivities with us. After a lot of thought it was decided that we would sneak out of school on Friday, February 13, 2009. We would start the day out by driving out to the $2.50 movie theater and see "Confessions of a Shopaholic" and "He's just not that into you". Both were really good movies. Definitely seeing again. When the movies were over around 6-ish we drove to "P.F. Chang's China Bistro". We called at 4 to try and reserve a table but they were already filled. Instead we placed our order to go. While in the area we decided to get some cheesecake from "The Cheesecake Factory". There was no room to get through the doors, it was so crowded! Drove back home just in time, right before the teacher noticed our absence. Slid right into my desk (bed) in just enough time to prevent detection. And that is the adventures of SSD 2009.(As much as I wanted to I couldn't have posted this any sooner the teachers are still suspicious of what really happened to the Senior that day.... They will never know :)

I had to change the background for school. As a part of my computer class. But I didn't have to write any post.

Lots have been going on. Co-op has started back and I am in 2 classes this year. Writing and Yearbook. They have both been really fun!

Our Church has just started puppets for the younger Sunday School classes. This Sunday will be my first week. It is going to be fun I hope : )

This Sunday I am also going to a Super Bowl party.

We are going to see Nik today. I might be going to work today as long as the roads clear up some.

Last Sunday we had "SNAC" it was so much super fun!!! We ate and then we just hung out. It was so funny when I walked in everyone had there cell phones out texting, blue toothing or using someone elses phone. But they weren't texting people out side the room. They were texting each other. They just didn't want the people around them to know what they were saying!

That's all I can think of right now. I will post more later. Hopefully soon :)

I am back to the blogging world! These pass 2 months (or so :) Have been great!

Back in November I went down to UK and AL's house for 2 and 1/2 weeks! It was so much fun! We shopped a lot! There was also party's to go to, college classes to attend, guns to be shot, nails and hair appointments to go to, art shows to attend and city's to see!! I had so much fun!!! I have to say that those were the best weeks in November I had this year :) Thanks again for letting me go down there!!!

The past week and a half has gone by so fast!!!

Last Sunday - Wednesday I was at G-dad's and Gram's. Had lots of fun and got lots of things done.

Wednesday night I went to Youth. It was lots of fun! Singing, listening to the lesson and then eating pizza as our snack.

Thursday was co-op ~ like every week we had book club and then I helped out in the capital class, but half way thought that class I had to go buy us something for lunch. We didn't have time that morning to get anything ready. At 12 we left the church and made our way to a place just down the street to take pictures using our pin hole cameras. That night I went to see "Max Payne" at the drive-in with some friends.

On Friday I went to see "high school musical 3" with some other friends. I didn't really like the movie that much. But everyone else liked it. Homecoming was that night. 2 other friends and I went to watch. We were winning 36 to 6 when we left 5 minutes before the last of quarter. Made our way back to their house. When we were back at her house we made ice cream sundaes and watched the movie "Iron Man"

Saturday was spent cleaning a house, then coming home to eat and then out to the barn. The youth were having a fundraiser and to get things paid for this summer (Misson trip, SOAR, and any other things we might do) we have to help with as many fundraisers as we can. This one was a BBQ meal and then there was a Skeet shooting contest. The first round was fun to watch. Then they started the 2nd round, then there was a 3rd and 4th one I think. I left in the middle of the 2nd round.

Sunday was busy also, started out with Sunday school, then Big Church, then home for lunch, Youth at 5, GMA's at 6 and then there was choir practice. Back at home around 8 or 8:30.

Then came my days of sleeping in and not having a lot to do and now here I am it Thursday night. Not being able to decided if I should go watch "Gray's anatomy" or "When weather changed history"

Ok, nothing really big has happened of the last few days. But I am up to giving you an update, if you want to read about it.

Wednesday night I went to youth and had so much fun! We talked, had a lesson and then a snack. Fries with chili and cheese on top. Mrs. H wasn't cooking them as long as I liked them cooked so I asked her if she could fry some for me that were extra done. She said since I just cleaned up the mess that one of the other adults made that she could do that for me.

Thursday was another day at co-op. In book club we only talked about the new book for a few minutes because not everyone had gotten the book yet. During the next class I was suppose to be helping in the states and capital class. But the teacher wasn't there so one of the other mom was going to teach and she didn't need my help so I spent that time talking with gram and then I tried to read a book. But that didn't happen everyone keep coming up to me and talking and then 2 little girls couldn't find there mom so I helped them look for her. Then in the last class we didn't have teacher so we just played games. I did have to give a report about the guy who took that picture of the solider kissing the nurse. You know the famous picture at the end of WWII. After co-op we went and picked up Dad from work.

Friday we spent most of the day at the mall. Mom's phone was broken and the place to get it fixed was right by the mall so I was very happy! I didn't buy anything but I sure wanted a lot! And everything I wanted was on sale! (If you would like to donate money so I can buy those clothes just let me know I can tell you were to send the money :)

Saturday I did some school.

Then came Sunday! That morning mom made breakfast cake and smoothies for breakfast. After dropping Mom and the 2 youngest ones off at Church for Sunday School. We came back home and had our own Sunday School. Then went back for Church. After Church my Sunday School teacher told me that this Saturday the class is going to be painting the room. Finally we have been trying to paint this room ever since that last time we painted it! Came home had lunch then just hung out till 5 pm. Went to youth. At youth we danced, talked sang, got announcements, and then went over to the Church. GMA's consisted of eating a snack, talking and then finishing up a lesson. After GMS's I decided to try out the adult choir. The adults talked more during their choir practice then the youth did. The main people who were talking we're the adults that work with the youth and just 2 hours before were telling us to stop talking during practice.

Today I have done a little school and then went to Target. That is all for today.

~ Things I have forgot to tell Nik and most likely wont have the time to tell her~

* We were at Walmart the other day I was picking out something and this lady behind me asked if I had ever tried this flavor. I said no and then I stared talking to Mom. Then Mom went on to the next row and I was finishing picking out which ones I wanted. When I was done and stared to leave that same lady asked if she could ask me a question and I was like sure. She asked if I wanted a job! Her and her husband have a travel agency and they need people to work. So I was thinking it was going to be like a secretary. She gave me a web site to look up and that's not what it was, they wanted me to pay money to start up my own website. Needless to say I still don't have a job :)

* I might be getting the part of Mary in the "Hanging of the Greens" at Church!

Kenna got mad at me one night while we were eating dinner. She got up from the table grab the tea pitcher and was holding it over my head like she was going to pour it on me. I did what I always do, I said "I dare you too!" Well this time she slipped (or so she said) and poured some of it onto my head! Don't worry I got her back!

This week some time I decided I wanted to decorate my room some more. I went to the store and got my supplies.... 4 bottles of paint, 3 canvasses and then 3 papers, and paintbrushes. When the man was ringing up the paint on the computer it popped up a sign that asked if I was 18 or older and I was thinking "Oh great I'm not going to get my paint and then I cant decorate my room and then I cant wake up happy knowing that my room looks cute!" (OK so maybe I wasn't thinking the last thing, I really don't remember :) They man just pushed yes and didn't ask me for an ID or anything. I was like yes! I look like I could be 18 or something! That day I went home a painted my little heart out! And this is what I ended up making....

~Breaking My Hart~

The past two weeks have been crazy busy!!!!

Tuesday (the 18) was co-op day. Nothing really new there. That day was extra long because we had to stay late and help clean up the church. Then that night I was babysitting.

Friday (the 19) I want with my youth group (2 leaders and 7 girls) to "Revolve" It was so much fun! For dinner that night we eat at "El Chicos" My meal cost $9.00 and all I got was water and 6 nachos with fajita chicken on top! At Revolve we listen to Hawk Nelson, Natalie Grant, Group 1 Crew, Krystal Meyers, Chad Eastham and Jenna Lucado. I got home the next night.

That Sunday was the start of the new Sunday school program at Church. And also the start of the WCA Sunday school lessons :) I had 2 in attendants for the new class. They learned about the Armor of God. That night I went to youth and GMA. At youth we are learning the song "The Voice of Truth" By Casting Crowns. They want the group to perform it one day in Church.

On Tuesday the family went to the mall to meet up with G-dad and Gram. Had fun shopping around! That night was NCIS! It was very good! I don't know if I could have kept watching it if they had left the team split apart!

The Thursday came around again. That means another day of co-op. I thought I was doing good in book club only having 5 chapters before I was officially half way thought that book. But not so much all the other girls in the class had already finished the book! I was like "WHAT??? We have only been reading this book for less then 3 weeks and your already done!!!" I was ahead of all the guys in the class and that was good for me! The teacher has decided that we needed to start the next book for the class. When I heard that I was ready to quit the class! I hadn't even finished the last book and she wants us to start the next book!! That is crazy!!! So mom is making me finish the last book "This Present Darkness" and start the next book "The Shack" by Paul Young.
This is going to be a very interesting book!

This Sunday we had Sunday school again here at home. Went to big Church. That night was youth, still working on the song. The man that's playing the guitar is playing it with a country sound and if you have ever heard the song (Voice of Truth) you know its not country. Everyone kept messing up! It was funny to sit back and listen to everyone :) Then GMA, there was 2 new girls which was really good!

The last week was a crazy, eventful, lazy, relaxing, and enjoyable week.

*There was babysitting jobs that lasted 3 day straight (I did have a 14 hour break in between the 3 days)

* Co-op started last Thursday~~ This year I am taking 2 classes and the helping teach in one class.... at 10:00 I am taking book club we are reading the book "This Present Darkness" by Frank Peretti. At 11:00 I help in a class were we are learning the states and capitals (don't tell the teacher but I have no clue why I am in this class I don't know anything about the states and their capitals!!) Its a really fun class and I am learning along with the children. Then we break for lunch. After lunch I take photography. All of my friends are in this class and we had a great time!!

*Friday was suppose to be my day at home to work on school all day.... But we had to go buy the book for book club. I also bought another book "THR3E" by Ted Dekker. Some of the teens in book club were talking about how good the book was so I decided to get it and read it. It sounds really good!!!

*Saturday I finished reading a book that I started at the beginning of summer. "House" by Ted Deker and Frank Peretti. I loved the book but I didn't like how it ended! I also finished school for the week on Saturday. The day was ended with mom and I watching "What happens in Vegas"

* Sunday we went to Sunday school then big Church. After big church the youth were suppose to paint the youth room but the decided to change it and we are going to be doing that this Sunday. After church we came home had lunch and then got ready for WAR!!! A MARSHMALLOW WAR!!! :) That night I went to youth at 5 and then GMA's at 6.

*Yesterday I stayed at home and worked on school and last night I colored my hair! It looks really cute on me :)

*Today we went on a field trip. It started out with meeting G-dad and Gram at the mall. Shopping for a little bit and then going to eat. After eating there was more shopping. Starting at Old Navy and getting 2 shirts.

Then I went and got a manicure by my cousin. But shopping was still to be had :) Went back to the mall and did some more shopping! Stayed so long that we had to get a bite to eat and high speed Internet! YES I DID JUST SAY THAT WE NOW HAVE HIGH SPEED INTERNET!!!!!

*Now I am just sitting around playing on the Internet. Thinking about what I should do next.

*Tomorrow I have homework for co-op and for regular school. I have to read a chapter for book club, take some pictures and do some research for photography. Then I have regular school... Consumer math, Adv. Biology, English, Spanish, Logic, and then I need to work on my reading list.

Nik and I took some of her stuff up to her dorm room... On our way out there I got a little bored and Nik wouldn't let me drive. We stopped off to go to the bathroom and get something to munch on. After I was done going to the bathroom I ran by Nik and said "I'm going out to the truck"

Before we left G-dad's and Gram's house g-dad gave me an extra key to the truck. So I went out and locked my self in the truck and started it.

She was not happy about this but I got a picture of her smiling?

I rolled down the window just enough to pass the camera though. So she could take a picture of me inside the car.

So I know you are looking at these pictures and say to yourself "this doesn't look like any prom I've ever been too" That's is because instead of going to prom this year my parents gave me the money they were going to spend on me for prom and I got to take a trip!

After the play we went for dinner... We stood in line to eat at Pink's for about 1 hour

The food was really good! So its a good thing we stood in line for it!

This was a just a re-cap of my prom... We did do lots of other things while we were out there in California, like one day we went to a taping of Jay Leno. I did get my nails and hair done and got all dressed up to go see "Wicked" like I would have for Prom. And there is only about 8 more months until next years prom!!!!

It has been four years and eight months since the last official and recorded meeting of the Blue Feather Club took place. This afternoon, August 4th of 2008, a new beginnings meeting was held. We have chosen to post the minutes in an effort to keep the public updated on our happenings.

The meeting was called to order at 3:16pm Monday, Aug. 4, 2008 by President Nikki.

Minutes from last meeting were lost, and so they could not be read. President Nikki thought that Secretary Shelbi had kept track of them. But, it seems she misplaced them through out the years and moves.

Treasurer's Report:***

We are happy to report our money situation has improved!!!

The BFC now possesses:
$195.00
2 Wal*Mart gift cards
2 Best Buy gift cards
1 Target gift card
And if that's not enough.... Faithful members donated 2 debit cards (for emergencies only)!

Old business discussed included:

1. Kenna's candy bar offense.
a. We are NOT VERY HAPPY about that!
b. There WILL be consequences!
c. We don't have a 'c'.

New business discussed included:

1. Changing the bylaws.
a. No whiners in the club!
b. Regarding swings: Swings are available based upon age order. Oldest child gets first pick and so on.
c. Members of the club who have betrayed the trust of the President and Secretary will have to be kicked out of the club OR go though rush week with the new members. That includes taking candy that we worked really hard to get!
d. More changes to come. We will post an updated version of the bylaws at the time of their completion.

2. New members?
a. Will we be accepting new members? If so, who?
b. Discussion tabled.
c. However, it was determined that if new members be accepted, a rush week will be mandatory!

3. Plans to dedicate the new location
a. Tabled till next meeting.

Announcements:

* Visitation will be allowed at Ma's birthday party. Leadership Board will be on the look out for possible new members.
* Members of the Leadership Board are going on a retreat this week to California. Updates will be given at next meeting.
*All tabled matters will be discussed after the return of the leadership board.

~Mission Trip 2008~

Two weeks ago I went with my youth group on a mission trip to Arizona and had an awesome time!!!

We stayed with our youth leaders parents. They had a pool and room to fit all of us. 4 leaders, 4 girls and 8 guys.

We left on Friday and drove until we got to El Paso and then stopped for the night. That night for dinner we ate at Fuddruckers. I was one of the few that had ever been there to eat. After we ate, all of the youth went and played the arcade games. One of the guys and I played the game where you have the guns and you shoot the bad people. He started playing after I did and I still had 1 or 2 lives left when he died in the game. It was funny! The next morning we had to get up really early! We finally got to their house on Saturday around lunch time. The rest of that day we unpacked and then went swimming.

On Sunday we drove 2 additional hours to get to a national park that had a natural water slide! It also had some cliffs you could jump off. There was a 35-ft, 20-ft, and 10-ft. cliff. I only jumped off the 20ft. and 10ft cliffs. The water was melted snow, so it was really cold! We spent all day there! That night we went out to eat at this really good Mexican restaurant. I had Nachos, the plate was so big! I didn't even eat a 1/4 of it!

Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday we volunteered at this organization called "neighborhood ministries" It was hard work but worth doing, knowing you are doing it for God. God can use us in so many ways.

The first day my group scrapped gum off the carpets. It wasn't very much fun! We had some spray stuff to help get it off. We started spraying each other with it and then we had to go buy more and found out that it was $8.00 a bottle (And that was with a discount because we were buying so much) After finding that out we stopped spraying it on each other.... At least we tried not to spray each other anymore :)

The next day my group painted. One of the guys and I painted the bathroom hall way. We spent 5 hours in that hall way with no AC! When everyone else was done we still hadn't finished painting so one of the other guys came in and helped us while everyone else left. When we were driving back the pastor told us if we found a Sonic on the way back, since there was only us 3, him and another leader, he would stop and get us something to drink. So we were looking everywhere! We found one but he wasn't in the right lane. And he wouldn't turn back around! We weren't so happy. But we lived :)

On Wednesday we all were working on the floors. In the class rooms we had to scrap the floors, sweep, mop and wax. We did 4 or 5 rooms. Four of the guys and I were assigned to clean the halls and bathroom floors. They didn't give us anything to put on the floors so while we were painting we got paint everywhere! I think we got more on the floor and each other then what we got on the walls.

Every night when we got back from working we had a Bible study. We study the whole book of Galatians. We started out the week with a group which had 3 kids and an adult. We stayed in our groups for 2 days. The next 2 days they split us up in groups of 2 people. The oldest guy and me were put together. For the last 2 days we all had to do the Bible study by ourselves. But each day right before bed we all got together and went over everything we learned (or should have learned) that day. I learned a lot!

On Thursday we started our trip back. They drove all the way to Odessa and then stopped for the night. I finally fell asleep at around midnight and had to get up the next morning at 5am! On Friday we finally made it back home.

It was a long trip and like ever trip it had its ups and downs. But for me there was more ups then downs. I loved sitting out ever night talking with everyone and just watching how everyone got along and how some people just didn't get along. I can't wait to go on next years mission trip! Its going to be so much fun!

Last weekend I was down in SA for SOAR! It was so much fun! Had a great time with everyone!
We learned lots about how, when, where and what worship is about!

Yesterday Nik and I went out shopping. (Or at least that is what she thought we were doing :)
We went by Target, JCPennys and then by the bank. After we left the bank it was 2 something, and we were going to go by and get a drink from Sonic. On the way to sonic I decided I wanted to go see a movie! So I kidnapped Nik for the afternoon to go see a movie! We watched "Wanted" This was one of the best movies I have seen in such a long time! There are so many twist and turns! If you can get past all the bad words in it, Its a great movie!

From netflix this week we got the movie "Fractured" I liked this movie! It ended very good (I didn't see that coming!)

Tomorrow morning I am leaving out to go on a mission trip. So I won't be posting anything for at least a week (but if I wasn't going on the trip and staying here I most likely not post anything anyways :) But its all good! I will let you know how the trip goes...

Lets see.... I haven't really been doing anything worth blogging about over the last few weeks. But I thought I should update everyone anyways :)

A couple of weeks ago I went to one of my friends birthday party. That night I got home around 11:30pm. All I had for dinner was a piece of cake. Mom and I were in the kitchen looking for me something to eat. Dad was in the living room and Nik was standing at the bar listening to everything that had happened that night. I was really tried, not really hungry and my head hurt. I started playing around and I kicked my leg up over the chair (Like I do quite often while I'm in the kitchen) But this time was different then all the other times. My foot got caught on the chair and I went face down onto the floor. It hurt so bad! My mom had no clue what happened all she heard was the chair falling to the ground and when she turn around there I was laying on the floor! It didn't help any that Nik was watching the whole time and couldn't stop laughing! The next day when I got up my arm had a knot in it and it was really bad bruised. But its all good now!

I started a quit a couple of months ago and I'm hand quilting it and its taking way longer then I would like it to. So I did as any person would do... I started another project!

These are bulletin boards that I painted! I took on this project because I knew I could finish it in one day :) Unlike the quilt I'm still working on.

This Thursday my youth group is going down to the river walk to a conference called SOAR. It should be lots of fun! We are driving down there and we have to be up at the Church at 6:45 AM! I haven't been up that early since I worked at the donut shop!

And then next Friday (July 11th) the youth group is going on a mission trip! We are going to Arizona and driving! That is going to be a long car ride! We aren't allowed to take our phones or iPods! I will let y'all know how that goes :)

So I think that is all for now. I will update ya when there is something to update about..... hope everyone is doing good!

But how could I not buy this dress!
It fits and it only cost $15.00!!!
I thought the first year when I got my dress for $20.00
was going to be the best price I would ever pay for a prom dress!
Well its going to be my Senior Prom and its all just going to be bigger and better then all the past years right mom????

I was thinking since I did get my dress for only $15.00 maybe I could get my nails done??

Happy Valentine's Day!

This year for Valentine's day I'm at G-dad's and Grams house. We have had a fun day. When I got up at 10 or so Gram and I went into town. We didn't do much just went by the post office and then went to get me something to eat. When I pulled up and told them what I wanted they said "I'm sorry, we are now serving lunch" And I said "Ok. Thanks" and I drove off. It was still 5 minutes before they were suppose to start serving lunch! Ugh people!

Since then we really haven't done much. We did do some sewing. Which was fun. Now we are just sitting around. G-dad and I are on the computers and Gram is in the other room on the phone. I'm about to go watch tv or do school. I cant decide which one to do!

Random... I cant wait to come home and see what I got for valentines day! I already got something from G-dad and Gram. And tomorrow I will see what Aunt L and Uncle K are going to get me! Can't wait!

Its back!

Just to let everyone know Jericho is back!

Now i didnt get to see/hear the whole new episode last night! But that parts I did see what awsome! I have not always been into the show. When it first started it was on Wed nights and that was the night I would help at church. So for Mom's birthday last year Nik and I got her the 1st whole season on dvd. It took me 2 full days in my room to watch all 22 shows! I couldnt stop watching them at one point I had all the dvds in my dvd player! Crazyness!

Today I have been reading the message boards on cbs. On them they have things that i dont even see how it fits into the show (so if anyone see how it does please let me know)

*Which government will Texas align itself with? How does that have anything to do with the show? Its about Jericho in a totally different state!

* What is in th train Hawkins derailed using the tank? Did people not watch the show? You could kinda see what it was! Why sit there and talk about it?

Ok well I have to go... Big Brother is about to start.... I will write more later
