Friday

6:30 am - Alarm doesn't go off!!! Which is a good thing cause I wasn't going to work that day! But I still woke up right around this time... But back to sleep I went till....wait for it.....7:30AM! I was so excited and hour of extra sleep!

7:30 am - Lay around in bed until 8 and then get out of bed and eat breakfast.

8:26 am - Clean my room from the week, start a load of laundry, and organize some small things I've been wanting to do.

9:26 am - Start on my homework for the weekend. Get 2 full subjects finished and started on the 3rd one.

11:16 am - Out of the shower and dressed. Went up to the gas station to get buns for lunch, eat lunch, and finished packing for a weekend at mom's.

1:17 pm - Leave for town and go by the bank, and walmart.

Thursday

6:30 am - Alarm goes off! Dressed, and out the door by 7

7:30 am - In s'ville heading to rec center. Worked out till and then got dressed for the day.

8:28 am - Made it to my car, ate breakfast, and listened to the radio until classes start.

9:25 am - Ethics. This class is going to be interesting, we have to print off the slides each week and then copy everything she writes down. There is no homework to turn in, there is optional writing assignments that if we do a good job on can increase our test scores by a letter grade. So I am all over those!

10:50 am - Financial Accounting. Didn't do much in thins class just went over like 5 pages of the chapter. It wasn't that complicated of information so I'm not sure while we spent so much time on it.

12:05 - Out of class. Went to meet Gram, Ma, and Pa for lunch at a little cafe in town. Stopped by the bank and noticed that they gave me the wrong papers to fill out. So had to wait while she re-did the papers. But it was fine I still had a little while till my classes started.

2:25 pm - Fed Tax. This is going to be one of the hardest classes. The professor doesn't make things clear. When teaching he goes through problem sets from memory and messes up so its hard to know what is right or wrong.

3:50 pm - Governmental and Not-For Profit Accounting. I put this class as another really hard one for this semester. But at least I actually understand what she is saying :)

6:01 pm - Finally get back home. Eat dinner, do some homework, pack for the weekend, and then an early bed time!

Wednesday

6:30 am - I'm ready to shoot the alarm at this point! During the summer I was getting up at 5 some days and 7 other days. But for some reason 6:30 seems so much earlier then both!
Once up I got dressed, fixed hair, put make-up on, and then packed my one bag for today.

6:56 am - Left the house.

7:38 am - Made it on campus. Set in my car till it was time to walk to work.

8:00 am - Get to work.

8:01 am - The students start calling!

8:02 am - Realized today is going to be a long day!

12:00 - Took a 15 minute lunch so I can get off 45 minutes early today.

4:15 pm - Off work! What a lovely time of day! I went over to Chicken Express for my tea. Then was just about out of town when I get a phone call from a guy I was suppose to meet at 3 (but he didn't call), so I had to go back into town and get some papers from him.

5:30 pm - Made it home, had dinner, packed bags for classes, worked on some last minute homework problems and then went to bed at 10:15.

Tuesday

6:30 am - Alarm goes off.... It was still dark outside at this time today!
Get dressed (PICTURE TO COME), pack the car up with my THREE bags for the day, and grab some breakfast.

7:42 am - arrive at the school after leaving the house at 7:00 (front row parking)
I do not have class till 9:25 today but I heard yesterday that we were short on parking and I didn't want to have to walk very far!

7:49 am - arrive at gym. Work out for 25 minutes (elliptical and bike), get dressed in normal clothes, fix hair and make-up.

8:28 am - make it back to my car, eat breakfast (dry cereal and water), sit and watch DQ management get mad at all the students parking in their parking lot.

9:25 am - Ethics class. Going to be an interesting class. Already assigned to a group and I know 50% of the class and in my group I know no one! Crazy! There is a presentation at the end of the semester that I am already not looking forward too!

10:50 am - Financial accounting. The professor is pretty good. No homework in this class which I think isn't a good thing. But it means less work that I have to do :)

12:05 - Run into the old accounting society treasurer and had a few questions for him. We talked for a little while and I know all the info now!

12:18 - Gram came and picked me up and we went to lunch at Whataburger and then we out to the county office to look at birth records and marriage licenses. It was a lot of fun! We spent about an hour there. Didn't find what we were looking for, but we did find Papa's birth certificate. He was born back in the 1920's but they didn't file for one till the 1940's. Also we went by the bank and meet up with the President of the Accounting Society.

2:25 pm - Federal Tax Corporations - Oh my! This class is going to be difficult. The professor said its going to be our hardest class! I’m thinking that part of the hardness is because English is not his first language! While in this class I spent the whole time texting the guy who was sitting next to me. I learned more about him in that time that I did about tax!

3:50 pm - Governmental and not-for-profit accounting. This is going to be an interesting class. Today we had to go around the room and tell people about our self. It was interesting learning about everyone but oh how I didn't like when it was my turn! This class also has a presentation at the end of the semester! (I feel a sickness coming on the last week and a half of school!)

5:15 pm - stop by Mama's and Papa's.

6:13 pm - make it back home.  Cook dinner and lunch. Start on homework.
10:39 pm - go to bed. This is the latest I have been to bed probably since the summer started :)

A week in the life - Monday

6:30am - Alarm goes off
Shelbi thinks - "this is way too early for anyone to  be up!"
Shelbi's reality - get out of bed, turn on light, turn off fan, find something to wear (go though 4 shirts before deciding), brush teeth, do makeup, fix hair, and pack bag for work.

6:57am - Walk out the door

7:39am - make it to McD's for a glass of sweet tea ($1.08 - they went up in price by a penny! I was not a happy girl!)

8:00 am - get to work

12:45 pm - take my 15 minutes for lunch (the office ordered in pizza so that no one would leave today because it’s the first days of classes so the phones are ringing like CRAZY!)

1:32 pm - make a girl cry

2:23 pm - write up the first half of the blog post
More to come....

3:15 pm - Drank all 3 water bottles I had today

4:07 pm - realized that this school will let anyone in :)

5:00 pm - work was done and received an email from a professor that she had something that I needed to come by and pick up

5:32 pm - left professor’s office with all the things I needed for being the treasurer of the accounting society. I was also given a recommendation from that professor to be the next Becker rep at the college. We will see how that goes :)

6:17 pm - made it back home, make dinner, clean room, pack my three bags for tomorrow, and get ready for bed.

9:28 pm - Good night for tonight.

Summer 2012 Goals

After school I had high hopes of posting my summer goals and I thought I did. Till I came on today to update you on how I am doing on my goals. And I realized that yall didn't know what my goals were. So I am going to post/update yall on my summer plans all at once :)

1 - Move to Grandparents house.
This I finished the weekend after school was out. But I still have been trying to find a place for everything.

2 - Fix or buy printer.
G-dad had an extra printer sitting around and said I could use it as long as I wanted!

3 - Make new calendar book.

I love my new calendar book! And it is already filling up pretty fast!

4 - Create cook book.
This I already had done I just wanted to make it look pretty!
5 - Finish all summer classes.
I have finished one back in May and I just started the next one last week. Its business law and I am loving it! (so far atleast :)
6 - Go to 2 Drive-ins on list.
This one is going to be a littler harder then I figured it would be, there are very few drive-ins located in this area of Texas. Most are three to four hours away.
7 - Finish the 3 books on Nook.
Only have one hundred pages to go and then I will be done with this one!

8 - Be able to run 3 miles straight.
Decided to postpone this till the Fall semester where I will have a treadmill and be able to go the distance and time I would like. Instead I am doing more strength training and such this summer. I have already finished a month of Boot Camp and am now starting Kettlebell, Yoga and another round of Boot Camp.
9 - Find a job in G-Bury.
This one is turning out to be harder then I thought it would be. There are not many places who want a part-time worker. So if anyone hears of anything around this area let me know!

two of a kind

Today at work my boss started talking about what Chinese year he was. And so I decided to look mine up.
Well it just happens that Darbi, and Me share they same Chinese Animal.

The Sheep...
Sheep simply want a bit of peace. They enjoy carrying on with life in their own quiet, individual way, content to be in the middle of it all rather than to be leading it. Sheep are quiet and calm people. They enjoy cultural things and focus much of their energy on artistic hobbies. Sheep are easygoing and relaxed, happy to be going with the flow.

AT HOME WITH THE SHEEP
Sheep truly enjoy being at home. They spend their time there doing arts and crafts, cooking and knitting. Sheep are most comfortable on their couches in the privacy of their homes, relaxed and tranquil. Their homes are as simple as they like to feel. They are elegant and timeless, and their homes reflect their artistic flair. The Sheep will go to any expense to be comfortable and to enjoy convenience.

MONEY AND THE SHEEP
Sheep generally appear well-off. They love to spend money but do not find comfort or satisfaction in material things. They do have a knack with money though, which is well-suited for a person who spends money like the Sheep does. Sheep are always dressed to a T, looking well-groomed and well-dressed

Do you think that describes us? Go on at look up your year!
